Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before getting started — straight answers, no hype.

Do I need any experience to sell insurance?
No prior sales or insurance experience is needed. You need to pass your state's Life & Health insurance licensing exam, which most people can prepare for in 2-4 weeks with the right study materials. We provide mentorship and training to get you up to speed.
Can I keep selling if we PCS to another state?
Yes! Many states have reciprocity agreements. Additionally, the Department of Defense has worked with states to make license portability easier for military spouses. You may need to apply for a non-resident license in your new state, but you don't have to retake the exam. See our state licensing directory.
What about selling overseas (OCONUS)?
You can absolutely continue working from overseas. Your license is tied to your state of legal residence. With WiFi and a phone, you can serve clients back in the States from anywhere in the world — Germany, Japan, Korea, you name it.
How much does it cost to get started?
You'll need to cover your licensing exam prep materials (we offer a discount code) and the state exam fee, which is typically $40-$75 depending on the state. There are no franchise fees or buy-in costs to join our agency. We contract you for free.
How much can I earn?
Income varies with effort and product mix. Part-time first-year agents often earn $25,000-$45,000; established full-time agents typically earn $60,000-$100,000; experienced agents with a mature book regularly earn six figures, much of it from residual renewals. Run your own scenario in our commission calculators. These examples are illustrative, not guarantees.
What if I'm already licensed?

Is this MLM or network marketing?
No. This is a legitimate career in the insurance industry. You become a licensed insurance professional. You sell real insurance products from real carriers. You earn commissions directly from insurance companies for policies you sell. No recruitment required.
Can I use my GI Bill for licensing courses?
Some licensing prep courses are approved for GI Bill benefits. We recommend checking with your local VA education office or the course provider to verify eligibility for your specific situation.
How much time do I need to commit?
You can start part-time with as little as 10-15 hours per week. Many military spouses start part-time while managing family responsibilities and ramp up as they build confidence and a client base. Full-time agents typically work 30-40 hours per week on their own schedule.
What is a PCS move, and why does it wreck careers?
PCS stands for Permanent Change of Station. Military families relocate every 2-3 years on average, which disrupts traditional employment — you resign, move, re-apply, and start over. Insurance sales is fully remote and portable, which is why we call it PCS-proof.
